As I explore and grow adept at using social media to express my thoughts and perspectives, I though I would let you all know that I have decided to start using Tumblr.
Blogger has been a wonderful tool, and although I feel Tumblr focuses more on expression through image, I thought it would be beneficial to investigate ways to incorporate my interest in writing and photography. My new blog, titled Going Godervillaise, focuses on my current job as an English language assistant in a collège, or "middle school". I work in the small town of Goderville in Normandy, about an hour from Rouen and 30 minutes from the famous port of Le Havre.
The students are great, as are the teachers. More importantly, I am learning about the French education system, a specific aspect of the French cultural that is aiding me in understanding a European view on languages and learning. There's also, as with this blog, stories about my traveling experiences around Europe. In fact, I don't think I could ever finish seeing the sites on this continent.
